Classic “Get Up” Exercise Mistake (It’s all in the TRANSITIONS)

Get Up Transition Mistake

Important Tip For Getting Up With Ease (Video Episode Below)

I wanted to get this out before we start our day of Christmas projects at Rebecca’s Mom’s house.  (Leveling a bathroom floor, replacing a toilet, splitting firewood, and more :-))

This “Winter Solstice” edition of Core Wellness TV was recorded on the actual solstice where the sun was in it’s lowest point in the sky and actually stood still.

This shortest day of the year is also a huge transition point in the seasons where we have the opportunity to slow down and pay attention to what we’re doing and where we’re going as we welcome more light back into our lives.

Because if you don’t take the time to slow down, you’re sure to miss some “magic moments”.

In this episode, I found myself getting in and out of the back of the truck over and over again and caught myself rushing through an important “magic moment” that ended up as a classic “transition” movement mistake.

And I wanted to share it with you.

We often rush through movements and miss the magic moments where most of the movement mistakes happen.

The “Get Up Exercise” where you simply get up off the floor (or in this case, up and down off a pickup truck tailgate), is a great way to work on this important transition.

So enjoy this short episode with a key tip for getting up and down with grace.

Additionally, if you’re interested in this “transition” stuff, be sure to get on the “Interested” list to be the first to know when I release the FREE Online “Transition with Grace” workshop, just click the link below.

Happy Holidays!

P.S.  I realized that I never gave context as to where I was when I recorded this episode.  It was at an impromptu solstice gathering with our friends (and new neighbors) in the valley just below our new property.

The real missing vitamin “C” for health and longevity is “Community”.

And I’m excited to have a community of friends and family around us as we transition into our upcoming adventures at the farm.

So find a way to connect and support each other and have a great holiday!

  1. Thank you for sharing! I can’t tell you how many times during the day I check my posture, position because of your encouraging advice. I know it has saved me so many times!!! Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! Can’t wait to see the new transitions with grace episode!

    Thanks again!

PS I did some vitamin C work yesterday as I delivered a jar of honey to the neighbors on our street. I got to meet a few new neighbors and left the honey on the rest of everyone else’s porch. It really felt nice attempting to touch base with the local tribe!!!

  2. Excellent advice, it’s so easy to forget these transition movements. I’m so grateful for this reminder and I look forward to more episodes.
    Many thanks 😊
